Mother’s Day Baking with help from Miss Jones Organic Baking Co.
Baking at home is rarely as simple as we’d like it to be as it often requires a great amount of time, skill and a closet full of specialty kitchen implements. One of our favorite new products is out to change that: Miss Jones Organic Baking Mixes and Frostings.
Miss Jones Organic Baking Company is a new and exciting kind of baking company. Their innovative line of organic baking mixes and ready-to-use frostings mean that even novice bakers can enjoy high-quality, baked-with-love results every time without the worry of consuming unpronounceable or unidentifiable ingredients.
We love these versatile baking mixes because they’re USDA certified organic and free from soy, dairy and nuts (even produced in a nut-free facility). They’re made in the USA and don’t contain hydrogenated oils, trans-fats, artificial ingredients or colors in their products either.
Don’t forget: Mother’s Day is Sunday May 8th
Need a reason to run to the store for a box or two of Miss Jones baking mixes? How about Mother’s Day? Show her how much she’s appreciated by giving mom a well-deserved break this Mother’s Day and a stack of brunch worthy and super-simple, chocolaty cake waffles with homemade fresh raspberry topping. Ok, we know, it’s perfect for mom, but it’s also pretty great for everyone else, too!
Using Miss Jones irresistible organic chocolate cake mix, it’s easy to get the kids involved in making a homemade treat that Mom won’t believe isn’t made from scratch. Mix up the organic cake mix, add in some tasty surprises, heat the waffle iron and you’ve got a great dish that says, “Thanks Mom!”

Chocolate Cake Waffles with Fresh Raspberry Sauce
What you need:
1-2 Boxes Miss Jones Chocolate Cake Mix (One box makes approx. 4 Belgian-sized waffles)
Electric Waffle Iron
Raspberry or other Fruit Jam
Whipped Cream (optional)
Prepare the cake mix in a medium mixing bowl according to the specifications on the box. Heat waffle iron to medium heat.
Once the waffle iron is sufficiently heated to medium heat, carefully ladle or spoon the batter into the waffle iron. Be careful not to over fill the waffle iron as the cake will expand as it cooks.
Cook cake waffles until firm and cooked through. Be careful not to over-cook waffles.
Serve warm with a drizzle of warm raspberry (or Mom’s favorite jam) and a generous helping of whipped cream.
To make it fun for kids, have them stir in treats for Mom like diced banana, blueberries, sprinkles or mini chocolate chips.
