Citrus Salad with Star Anise

We love to take advantage of fresh seasonal ingredients and right now its all too easy (and delicious) to add fresh citrus to your plate. If you’re a lover of citrus, or not that familiar, we’re sure you’ll love this citrus salad. The ingredients are so simple and with fresh fruit abound, you can’t go wrong here. It’s perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner and even makes for a powerful snack to boost your energy after a long workout.


  • 2 Cara Cara Oranges
  • 3 Blood Oranges
  • 1 Melogold Grapefruit
  • 3 Large Tangerines
  • ¼ Cup Water
  • ¼ Cup Sugar
  • 3 Star Anise


Combine water, sugar, and Star Anise bring to simmer over medium high heat for 1 minute, let cool. Peel and segment all citrus fruit. Combine dressing and citrus. Refrigerate for 1 hour and serve.
